I’m a writer of children’s and craft how-to books. Planet Pouch: Simple Juice Pouch Bags Anyone Can Make is available in Amazon’s Kindle Store. I’ve also written and illustrated a picture book app called I Don’t Like Pink!, published by PicPocket Books.
I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and Kappa Delta Pi. In 2016, I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Salem College. My master’s thesis won the 2016 Marsh Writing Award from Kappa Delta Pi.
During the day (except over the summer!) you’ll find me working with kids. I am an EC Teacher at a combined middle/high school, and I love it! I enjoy learning from students and getting to know them. Teaching is very rewarding.
I’m also passionate about technology and the multitude of ways it can be integrated into the classroom. I enjoy exploring new tools that are designed to make life easier.
Since childhood, I’ve been known as a bookworm. If I’m not crafting, writing or in class, I’m usually reading. I have a Little Free Library in my front yard, and enjoy discovering and sharing new reads.
I’m an obsessive crafter too, and several of my knitting patterns are available on Ravelry (many of them free). One of my dishcloth designs was featured in Mason Dixon Knitting by Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne.
