Brooks Jones

I’m a writer/illustrator of children’s and craft how-to books. Planet Pouch: Simple Juice Pouch Bags Anyone Can Make is available in Amazon’s Kindle Store. I’ve also written and illustrated a picture book app called I Don’t Like Pink!, available in the iTunes App Store and published by PicPocket Books. If you’ve got an iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, check out their other apps.

I am a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and Kappa Delta Pi. In May, I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Salem College. My master’s thesis won the 2016 Marsh Writing Award from Kappa Delta Pi.

I’m an obsessive crafter too, and several of my knitting patterns are available on Ravelry (many of them free). One of my dishcloth designs was featured in Mason Dixon Knitting by Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne.

I enjoy taking pictures. Some of my photos of birds are posted at the Smithsonian’s Migratory Bird Center. I also have photos and drawings at my Flickr page. Also, find me on Instagram as brooksjones.

Since childhood, I’ve been known as a bookworm. If I’m not crafting, writing or in class, I’m usually reading. See the books I’ve read and those I’m currently wading through at Goodreads.

Thank you for stopping by. Feel free to e-mail me here.
